The A.g Director General of National Boundary Commission Surv, Adamu Adaji recently received members of the Indices and disbursement committee from the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission in his office in a bid to strengthen the existing relationship between the two Commissions.
The delegation from Revenue Mobilization and Fiscal Commission was led by the chairman of the committee His Excellency Dr. Chris Akomas, former Deputy Governor Abia State.
Speaking during the event, the A.g Director-General noted that both Commissions have been working tirelessly in rendering services to our great Nation.
“We partner with your Commission to provide information and data to assist in the discharge of your assignment”
Adaji, however, noted that the National Boundary Commission has been confronted with the challenges of the absence of relevant documents that clearly indicates the actual demarcation of most of our boundaries among other things.
He assured the visiting committee that the National Boundary Commission will continue to provide the necessary services to facilitate the completion of the assignment.
Earlier in his remarks, the leader of the delegation Dr. Akomas said the committee was at the National Boundary Commission to seek cooperation that will aid in the actualization of identification of landmark for our boundaries.
He stressed that accurate knowledge of the boundaries will help the committee in the determination of the indices and disbursement process.
The indices and disbursement committee which consist of eight (8) member committee was inaugurated by the President Mohammadu Buhari on 27th of June, 2019.
