DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND SUPPLIES

ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT
The Administration Department is the largest in the Commission and provides prompt and efficient human resource service through well-motivated and dedicated personnel in order to realize the overall objectives of the Commission. The Department has eight (8) Sectional Units dedicated towards the realization of these objectives. The Units are as follows:
i. Appointment, Promotion and Discipline
ii. Training and Staff Welfare
iii. Maintenance Unit
iv. Stores
v. Records
vi. Stock Verification
vii. Pension Unit.
viii. Drivers’ Unit.
Appointment, Promotion and Discipline Unit:
This Unit is saddled with the responsibility of processing of applications for employment of both senior and junior officers where vacancies exist. The Unit also ensures the promotion and advancement of eligible and qualified junior and senior officers of the Commission as at when due and applies strict disciplinary measures in order to correct the staff when the need arise. 
Training and Staff Welfare:
The function of this Unit is to develop and implement training policies and programmes both local and foreign for the staff of the Commission towards the acquisition of appropriate skills and capacity development. 
Maintenance Unit:
The Unit is saddled with the responsibility of managing the Commission’s facilities both at the Head Office and Zonal Liaison Offices across the six geo-political zones. 
Stores Unit:
This Unit is in charge of receiving procured items and keeping proper records of all equipment in the store. It is also the responsibility of the Unit to issue out the items to Departments for use.
Records Unit:
This Unit is responsible for keeping both Open, Secret, and Policy Files of the Commission. It is also the responsibility of the records Unit to prepare salary variation advice for all the staff after Employment, Promotion or Advancement. The Commission has a total number of 319 staff, both at the Head Office, the Zonal Liaison Offices and officers from other pools posted to the Commission (OHCSF, OAGF, JUSTICE, FCSC) etc.
